HS Season 1 Recap

HS GIRLS VOLLEYBALL 
The Varsity girls were once again crowned as KISAC Girls Champions for the 3rd time in 4th years. After a disappointing loss in last year’s final to the ISB Bears, KISJ was eager for a bit of revenge and this time was able to defeat ISB in the final. 
KISAC Girls Most Valuable Player(s): Catherine Park, Jaeah Lee
발시티 l 여학생들은 4년중 3번의 우승을 기록하며 시즌을 마무리 하였습니다. 작년 KISAC때 ISB(부산국제학교)를 상대로 진 우리 선수들은, 올해 땀나는 노력으로 연습하며 ISB를 이기고 금메달을 딸 수 있었습니다. 
우수 선수: 박성현, 이재아
The KISJ Varsity II finished 3rd in the A Division this year. After losing in the same match last year to Branksome Hall, the girls came out determined to win the medal this year, defeating BHA in straight sets to win bronze medal. 
Most Valuable Player: Spany Noh 
KISJ 발시티 2 여학생들은 올해 A리그에서 3위를 차지하였습니다. 발시티 1 선수들과 똑같이, 작년에 BHA상대로 진 발시티 2 선수들은, 올해 다시 BHA상대로 치열한 경기를 펼쳐 동메달을 땄습니다. 
우수 선수: 노유현
The Junior Varsity-1 team successfully repeated as B Division Champions in a thrilling match against Branksome Hall. With a team of almost entirely 9th graders, the future is definitely bright for KISJ volleyball. 
Most Valuable Player: Sarah Choi 
주니어 발시티 1팀은 BHA를 상대로 팽팽한 경기를 펼치며 B리그 우승을 하였습니다. 구학년들로 구성된 주니어 발시티 1팀은 미래의 진보가 기대되는 바입니다.
우수 선수: 최가연
The Junior Varsity-2 team finished 8th overall, as a team of individuals who are still relatively new to volleyball, they were supportive and encouraging of each other all year. During the tournament, they were able to defeat a number of other schools ‘A’ teams and should be very proud of themselves.  
주니어 발시티 2팀 선수들은 비록 B리그 8등으로 시즌을 마무리 지었지만, 선수들은 서로를 응원해주고 KISAC토너먼트 중간에도, 몇몇의 타학교A팀을 상대로 이기며 서로를 자랑스럽고 재미있게 시즌을 마무리 지을 수 있었습니다.

HS BOYS VOLLEYBALL
The Varsity boys volleyball team repeated as KISAC Championships for the 3rd year in a row. Over the past two seasons, they have not lost a set in this tournament. After 2nd place finishes in the JIT and AISA, we are happy to send our seniors out with a championship! 
KISAC Most Valuable Player(s): Philip Shin, Minseo Lee
발시티 1 남학생들은, 지난 2년간 한 세트도 상대에게 내주지 않으며 키삭 3연승을 기록하였습니다. JIT와AISA등 국제토너먼트에서 2등을 하며, 졸업반 학생들을 우승과 함께 보내주게 되어서 행복한 바입니다.
우수 선수: 신정민, 이민서
The KISJ Varsity II finished 6th overall in the A Division this year playing a number of closely contested matches that could have gone either way. 
Most Valuable Player: Inha Hwang
발시티 2 남색들은 A리그에서 치열한 경쟁을 하며 6등으로 시즌을 마무리 하였습니다.
우수선수: 황인하
The Junior Varsity team finished 5th overall in the B-Division. With the team being composed entirely of Freshmen and Juniors, the future of KISJ volleyball looks stronger than ever. 
Most Valuable Player: James Hyun
9학년과 10학년으로 구성된 주니어 발시티 남학생들은, B리그 5등으로 진보한 미래를 기대하며 시즌을 마무리 하였습니다.
우수 선수: 현하진 

HS TENNIS
In a rematch of last year’s all-KISJ final, Jeff Ryu and Jason Kang once again went head to head for KISAC gold. In a close, 6-4 match Jeff was able to defeat Jason to win Gold for the first time. Regardless of the outcome, both competitors were happy for the successes of their peers. In the B-Division, Luke defeated Patrick to be crowned as the B-Division gold medalist. 
In the doubles competition, Alex Choi and Geoffrey Kim advanced to the finals, losing a thrilling match to the mixed doubles team of NLCS. 
The Girls tennis team also braved the elements during the singles competition at BHA and doubles competition at SJA. 
In the A-Division, Ruby and Kirstie went the distance to win the bronze medal against fellow KISJ competitors Juhee & Emma, winning 7-6 in the tiebreaking set. 
In th B-Divsion, G10 Migyu partnered with Nahyeon from SJA to win the B-Division bronze medal. 
작년을 KISAC우승 매치를 떠올리며, Jeff Ryu선수와 Jason Kang선수은 A리그에서 다시 한번 금메달을 위해 경쟁하였습니다. 치열한 경쟁을 끝으로 Jeff Ryu선수가 6-4로 Jason Kang선수를 이기고 1등하였습니다. 결과와 상관없이, 두 선수 모두 서로의 결과를 응원하며 시즌을 마무리했습니다. 
B리그에서는 Luke선수가 Patrick선수를 상대로 우승했습니다.
2인조 경기에서는, 최연우선수와 김건희선수가 결승까지 갔으나, NLCS 2인조 팀에게 패배하여 2등했습니다.
여학생들도 SJA에서 열리는 KISAC에 싱글과 더블 두 종목 둘다 참여하며, 좋은 성과를 거두었습니다.
김연주선수와 심예은 선수는 2인조 경기에서 유주희 선수와 남주연 선수를 상대로 팽팽한 경기를 펼쳐 7-6으로 이겨 동메달을 획득하였습니다.
B리그의 김미규 선수는 SJA의 나연선수와 한 킴이 되어 B리그 2인조 3등을 하였습니다.

CROSS COUNTRY
The Cross Country team completed their season with beautiful run around the Alddreu Airfield, which involved a run over a small oreum, dodging a horse, and running through an old WWII tunnel. G10 Minsoo Kim won a silver medal for the boys while G11 Olivia Jang won a silver medal for the girls. In the team event, the KISJ boys were crowned champions for the first time since 2016. 
KISJ 크로스 컨트리 팀은 제주 알타르비행장을 크게 돌며 시즌을 아름답게 마무리 지었습니다. 10학년 김민수 학생은 타학교 남학생들을 상대로 2등을 했으며, 11학년 장정민 학생은 여학생들을 상대로 2등을 했습니다. KISJ남학생들은 한 팀으로서, 2016년 이후 처음으로 KISAC 단체 우승을 하고 돌아왔습니다.
